Terms of Use

These Terms govern your use of the DateLock Shopify app. By installing or using DateLock, you agree to these Terms.

The service

DateLock lets your customers choose a delivery or pickup date at checkout, requires a date before an order can be completed, and records the chosen date on the order. Features and plan limits are described on the Shopify App Store listing and in the app.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through Shopify’s billing. Prices, plan limits, and any free tier are shown at the point of subscription. You can change or cancel your plan at any time through Shopify; billing stops when you uninstall.

Data protection

How we handle data is described in our Privacy Policy. For merchants, our Data Processing Agreement is incorporated into these Terms and governs our processing of personal data on your behalf.

Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the app, interfere with its operation, or attempt to access data belonging to other merchants.

Intellectual property

DateLock and its underlying software, design, and content are owned by us and protected by law. You receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to use the app while it is installed and your account is in good standing. You retain all rights to your store’s data — nothing in these Terms transfers ownership of your data to us.

Availability & disclaimer

We work to keep DateLock reliable, but the app is provided “as is” without warranties. DateLock’s delivery-date enforcement is designed to fail open — if the app is unavailable, checkout is never blocked.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, DateLock is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages, or for lost profits or revenue. Our total liability arising out of or relating to the app or these Terms will not exceed the greater of the fees you paid us for the app in the three months before the claim, or USD 50. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.

Termination

You may stop using DateLock at any time by uninstalling it from your Shopify admin; uninstalling ends your plan and stops billing. We may suspend or end access if these Terms are breached or as required by law or by Shopify, and we may modify or discontinue features of the app over time.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of India, and you submit to the jurisdiction of the competent courts of India — without prejudice to any mandatory consumer or data-protection rights available to you under your local law.

Changes

We may update these Terms; the “Last updated” date reflects the latest version.
